Another early one with a sunroof?
Is that paint fade on the bonnet? Rat Twingo in the making?

Haha I might even paint the bonnet matt black, cross out the lights, do that whole thing lol.
Yeah it’s a 1998, but with a weird mid-facelift interior, take a look.
It has the new steering wheel and a silly afterthought airbag for the passenger, but the rest of the interior is the pre-facelift. Older taillights but a newer model rear bumper.
I hope it’s not rusty and that it’s in good condition. I’m getting impatient.
Since test driving the old one last week I decided that the sunroof is a MUST. It’s fantastic and I can’t live without it.

That’s the optional airbag package, which was available from the 1995 update. 1998 is actually the last year for the first version.

Oh, I see, I had no idea that it was an option. I know that 98 is the last year, that’s why I thought that it was maybe a regulation-mandated airbag or something, and that Renault didn’t have time to redesign everything.
Thanks for the info. Do you have any online sources for more Twingo knowledge? I browsed through wikipedia, some forums and some official Renault sites, but no luck on any in-depth information. I wish I could find all the options and model years in one place, for example.

I can’t tell whether these things look more like Peter Griffin or Stewie Griffin...this one is more Peter.

I did find such a site recently, which is were I learned all this information: http://www.generation-twingo.fr/
It’s in French, but when using Google translate it’s doable (my level of French is too low to be able to read this much text )
